The Voice family and other celebs are mourning the death of former show finalist Christina Grimmie, who was shot dead at age 22 Friday.
The singer, who came in third place during season six in 2014, was gunned down by an unidentified assailant while she was signing autographs with a band she was touring with, Before You Exit, at a show in Orlando, Florida. He brother tackled the gunman as he opened fire and the suspect soon shot and killed himself. Grimmie later died of her wounds. The motive for the shooting was unclear and police are still investigating.
A single tweet was posted on Grimmie's Twitter page Saturday morning: "The end."
"We are heartbroken," read a post on The Voice's Twitter page. "@TheRealGrimmie is a loved member of our family. Our thoughts are with her and her family. #PrayForChristina."
"There are no words," read another tweet posted on behalf of the NBC show. "We lost a beautiful soul with an amazing voice. Our hearts go out to the friends, fans and family of @TheRealGrimmie."
"#RIPChristina my thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones," Demi Lovato tweeted.

The Voice hostCarson Daly talked about Grimmie's death via phone on NBC's Today show Saturday, calling the singer "an incredible talent and incredible person."
The Voice coachAdam Levine, who had Grimmie on his team, had shared a selfie of the two onInstagram before she succumbed to her injuries.
"I'm sad, shocked and confused," he wrote. "We love you so much Grimmie. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."
"I'm stunned and disgusted and heartbroken that we lost that sweet little girl..." fellow coachBlake Shelton tweeted after Grimmie's death. "Keeping @TheRealGrimmie family in my heart and mind."
Co-star Christina Aguilera wrote, "So sad passing of @TheRealGrimmie. Beautiful member of #TheVoice family & true #Fighter. My heart goes out to her family, friends & fans. xo."
After Grimmie succumbed to her injuries, scores of stars took to social media to pay tribute to the singer, including the band she was touring with.
"Christina was such a loving, caring, beautiful person with the biggest heart," read a post on Before You Exit's Twitter page. "She was an absolutely incredible musician and an even better friend. We are so saddened by her passing and are completely heartbroken."
"Words fail to describe how much Christina means to all of us," the post continued. "She was always a constant beam of light and energy into the hearts of everyone around her. Her carefree spirit and her laughter constantly lit up every room she entered and she always had this glisten in her eyes which was evident in her faith. While we know there is no sort of feeling that can replace the joy Christina brought into our lives, we know she is glistening from up in Heaven and shining down on all of us."
Rachel Platten, who also toured with Grimmie, tweeted, "I am at a loss for words...I just keep remembering sitting at breakfast with her on tour and her beautiful brown eyes beaming at me asking advice about how she could spread the most love in the world through her music. And I just was thinking—you already do. You already are. This is unfair and tragic and the only glimpse of light I can find in this is knowing she died doing what she loved. You will be missed beautiful sweet girl—
Nick Jonas, who performed on The Voice season six finale, shared a selfie with Grimmie, saying, "#ripchristina."
Colton Haynes said, "So sad right now. My thoughts & prayers go out to Christina Grimmie's friends/family. What an incredible talent that won't be forgotten."
Saturday Night Live star Jay Pharoah tweeted, "Christina Grimme another life gone way too soon my heart goes out to her family #RIPChristina."
American Idol alum Adam Lambert wrote, "Devastating Tragedy @TheRealGrimmie."
"Christina Grimmie...You were so talented. I hope you find peace," tweeted actress Abigail Breslin. "You didn't deserve this. #RIPChristina."
Grimmie was also known as a YouTube star. The video network also paid tribute to the late singer.
"We are devastated by the loss of Christina Grimmie," read a post on the company's Twitter page Saturday. "Our thoughts are with her family, friends and everyone she inspired."
